The magic begins at the Ritz Carlton in the historic heart of the city, where you will find a luxurious room waiting for you. For your first excursion, you enjoy a private guided tour of Vienna’s most iconic sites. We start our tour at the exemplary Wiener Staatsoper, the Viennese State Opera House. Vienna is opera’s birthplace! From the first performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni on May 25th, 1869, to today, the Vienna State Opera has been the pinnacle of Austrian artistry and a beloved symbol of the charm of the opera. A surprise awaits you here!
Next, we head to the Albertina Art Palace where the art-loving sister of Marie Antoinette used to live. Marie Antoinette and her sisters were Habsburg princesses who grew up in the massive Hofburg Palace complex, our next stop in the heart of historic Vienna.
As you walk through Stephansplatz, you are blown away by the beauty of Vienna’s architecture. The tour takes you through picturesque baroque alleyways and gorgeous parks along the Danube River. Then, you see it… the world-renowned St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The Gothic architecture takes you back to 1578. Coffins, urns, and bones await you in the Stephansdom Catacombs. You’re brought out of the depths of the Crypt into the heights of St. Stephen’s tallest tower where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the entire city of Vienna.

Schönbrunn Palace is outstanding: from its 144 lavishly appointed rooms to its stately gardens and statuary, it is one of the most impressive and well-preserved Baroque ensembles of its kind. As you enter its grounds, you step into the opulent world of the Hapsburgs’ summer residence. You bask in the incredible artistry as you enjoy a private tour of the palace and stroll through the immaculate gardens. After a gorgeous palatial dinner, you head to the Orangery, the many-windowed home of Empress Maria Therese’s illustrious orange tree collection.

A short ride later, you find yourself immersed in the splendor of the Vienna Opera House as you toast to the night to come with a glass of champagne on Lisa. Then, the lights flash: It’s time for Don Pasquale!
Laughter rolls through you as you take in this classic opera buffa, a traditional comedy, in its original Italian.
